Filtering plastics at Whitford Plastics

Whitford Plastics improve process efficiency

Whitford Plastics has improved process efficiency on the production line at its manufacturing plant in Runcorn, Cheshire, following the installation of a high performance Self-Cleaning Russell Eco Filter®. The Self-Cleaning Russell Eco Filter® is being used on the production line to remove any impurities and ensure a consistently high quality product, while providing continuous production, increased capacity and reduced maintenance costs.

Self-Cleaning Russell Eco Filter®

This unique self-cleaning filter has a 316 stainless steel microscreen and operates on a flow-through principle and so eliminates dead spots, facilitating high volume production and minimizing product loss. The microscreen has an aperture size which is precisely defined in two dimensions, giving exceptional accuracy that cannot be achieved with slotted gap screens where aperture size is designated only in terms of slot width.
