Sieving and filtration specialists raise money for various charities through festive fundraising efforts
This festive season, staff at Russell Finex’s Feltham headquarters raised money for various local and national causes, through a range of fundraising efforts. In total, almost £1200 was pledged, supporting the Charley Paige Trust, SANDS, MacMillan, Make-A-Wish and Save the Children.
The Christmas Raffle, a tradition at Russell Finex Ltd, was the most popular fundraising event, and all proceeds were given to the Charley Paige Trust. Donations by Russell Finex, as well as various local businesses and organisations including the RFU, Hounslow Chamber of Commerce and Sainsbury’s, meant an impressive prize pool and lots of lucky winners at the draw on Christmas Eve.
In total, £1000 was raised through the raffle alone, and a cheque was presented to Jackie Franklin of the Charley Paige Trust. The charity, based near Russell headquarters, provides funds and resources for sick children and their families in the local area.
Jackie was delighted with the amount raised, commenting “I am pleased Russell Finex staff were so enthusiastic about supporting us. We are obviously very passionate about what we do and we all work very hard, but we could not do as much without the support of so many people and businesses like yourselves.”
Other fundraising efforts included a communal Christmas card, which raised a total of £130 for SANDS, a charity supporting research to help answer the questions that surround stillbirth and neonatal death, and Text Santa, the National Christmas Jumper Day which took place on Friday 18th December 2015, raising £56 for MacMillan Cancer Support, Make-A-Wish UK and Save the Children.
