Improving the quality of confectionery products and snack foods
Russell Finex have been sieving ingredients, raw materials and finished products for the snack food and confectionery industry for over 50 years.
Re-using cooking oil
Many snack foods are fried as part of the process. Heating and circulating oil is already an expensive business, but it can be even more costly if cooking oil has to be discarded because it is contaminated with burnt particles. These burnt particles can also build up inside heat exchangers, which leads to loss of efficiency.
Filtering cooking oil can reduce costs significantly. This reduces the downtime needed to clean heat exchangers and extends the life of the cooking oil.
Recommended products:

Grading nuts, raisins, and centers
Nuts need to be graded/sized for use in a wide range of applications and raisins need to be de-stalked for confectionery or snack food use. Candy centers also need to be sized for uniformity and product consistency. This can all be achieved by using a grading machine supplied by Russell Finex.

Sieving spices and flavors
Spice mixes and flavors must also be of uniform size for even distribution in a mix, or even thickness in a coating. There are particular problems in sieving oily, sticky spices, but we have the unique equipment and years of experience that will provide the right solution for you.
