Ceramic glaze
Russell Finex's vast understanding of the ceramics industry includes specialized knowledge on how to sieve ceramic glaze. Whether you are producing decorative or protective glazes, and whether they are to be used for sanitary ware, tableware, tiles or electrical porcelains, we can help you with your fine separation needs.
Ensuring optimum particle size
When producing a high quality glaze, it is not only essential to ensure there is no contamination present in your product, but it is equally important to ensure properties such as thermal expansion, color and durability are just right. Ensuring optimum particle size is therefore essential, and Russell Finex supply high performance equipment to help you achieve this.

Eliminating mesh blinding
Powders used to manufacture ceramic glaze are notable for being sticky in nature. They therefore are susceptible to blocking mesh apertures, resulting in decreased sieving efficiency. Combining your high performance sieve with the Russell Vibrasonic® Deblinding System eliminates mesh blinding and is highly recommended for the glaze industry.

Protecting spray equipment
Glaze materials are usually applied as a water-based suspension by spraying or dipping methods. It is thus crucial to eliminate contamination from your glaze as this can negatively impact its performance during application or damage spray nozzles or other equipment used to apply it. Russell Finex suggest using a High Speed Compact Sieve® or Finex 22™ to eliminate these problems. These vibratory units can operate at speeds up to 2800rpm, and their amplitude can be adjusted, ensuring they are suitable for all types of glaze densities.
