Imaginarium enhances its metal 3D printing solutions with the Russell AMPro®Lab Sieve Station
Imaginarium is India’s largest advanced design and digital manufacturing ecosystem. Over 20 years ago, Imaginarium bought India’s first industrial 3D printer and began manufacturing masters for its range of jewelry.
After perfecting the process, it expanded into engineering and healthcare. It now supplies parts for a broad range of customers, including aerospace, aviation, defense, automotive energy, and medical devices.
Imaginarium Solutions is the company’s most recent division, which partners with OEMs worldwide to offer customers metal 3D printers and additive manufacturing solutions.
Imaginarium originally supplied a large industrial sieve with the metal 3D printers it provided to customers. While this sieve could handle different metal powders, cleaning and switching from stainless steel to hazardous materials like titanium was difficult.
In addition, customers had to collect a large volume of metal powder before operating the sieve. This approach slowed the sieving process and made it less efficient for Imaginarium’s customers.
Over the last two years, Imaginarium researched alternative powder sieves and identified Russell Finex’s specialized powder handling solutions for additive manufacturing.
Imaginarium now supplies the Russell AMPro®Lab Sieve Station with its metal 3D printers. The small batch powder recovery unit is smaller and more compact than Imaginarium’s previous sieve and easily integrates with the metal 3D printer. As the capacity of the sieve is a better fit with the size of the printer, Imaginarium’s customers have improved their efficiency with metal 3D powder sieving.
