Sieving Pharmaceutical Chalk
The Finex 22 vibrating sieve with vibrasonics screens for difficult powders
When sieving pharmaceutical powders such as chalk, it is important that minimal waste occurs, and that the product yield is as high as possible. Furthermore, removal of contamination in pharmaceutical products, such as oversize and foreign contamination, is vital to ensure the purity of the powder is protected.
In this demonstration video, the chalk powder is emptied from a large bag into the sieve, and passed through the mesh. Blinding in the mesh is prevented due to the Russell Vibrasonic® Deblinding System, allowing the powder to flow continuously through and oversize to be removed. Not only does this improve the throughput of the product, but also minimizes the downtime spent needing to clean the mesh.
The Finex 22™ is a unique sieving unit for the safety screening of pharmaceutical powders. Capable of accurately grading powders, its design lowers maintenance costs and requires no tools to disassemble the machine for cleaning. The Russell Vibrasonic® Deblinding System prevents particles from blocking the mesh apertures and can be easily retrofitted onto any vibrating sieve or screener.
