Cosmetic powders, such as natural silica, pearl, and bronzer, are commonly used in cosmetic formulations where maintaining a uniform particle size is crucial. These finely milled powders with oily properties tend to form agglomerates and lumps, making them more difficult to process. Sieving is therefore a crucial step between the micronizer and compactor stages to ensure a uniform, free-flowing powder and to prevent lumps from hindering compaction and affecting final product quality. However, many production lines still perform this process manually, resulting in inconsistency, labour intensiveness, and quality issues.
