Staff at Russell Finex, Inc. came together to donate a variety of hygiene products to A Child’s Place, a Charlotte-area charity which seeks to eliminate the effects of homelessness on children and their education. Each RFI employee prepared donation bags with great care that included shampoo, soap, deodorant and toothpaste. The contributions aided local families to fulfill basic needs which aren’t met during a crisis of homelessness.
“It’s an honor to support the efforts of A Child’s Place and here at Russell Finex we’re glad to be able to help however we can,” said Rob Ward, President of Russell Finex, Inc. “As members of the Charlotte community it’s important to us to participate in building a better tomorrow with meaningful actions today and working with A Child’s Place helps ensure that.”
A Child’s Place began as a public school for homeless children in 1989 and has grown to work closely with the Charlotte-Mecklenburg school system to help protect and stabilize the child’s educational career by providing goods and services. Its work is done primarily during the school year and this event was especially timely as the needs of the charity change somewhat after school lets out for the summer break.
Russell Finex, Inc. hopes to continue the partnership with this and other Charlotte-based charitable organizations which improve the quality of life for people throughout the community.
