Russell Finex Christmas Fundraising 2019
Russell Finex gives back to the community through a variety of fundraising efforts
To celebrate the end of 2019, the staff at Russell Finex’s HQ in Feltham raised money for various national charities which included Cancer Research UK, Dogs for Autism, and Save the Children. This year’s nominated charity, the beneficiary of the annual Christmas Raffle, was Cancer Research UK, followed by Dogs for Autism coming in second place.
Cancer Research UK funds scientists, doctors and nurses to help beat cancer sooner and provide cancer information to the public. The company also develops evidence-based policies to inform Government decisions related to cancer and research.
A widespread of donations, supplied by various organizations across Feltham and from RFL staff members, formed a sizeable pool with prizes ranging from a Canon 400D bundle to hampers of chocolates and champagne. £1000 was raised in total from the raffle, with all the proceeds going towards Cancer Research UK.
The second charity, Dogs for Autism, is a charity that exclusively provides dogs for assisting autistic individuals. A Christmas card was signed and £250 was collected – an amazing amount which will be put to fantastic use helping to fund the training of the puppies.
During the festive period, staff also participated in the annual Christmas Jumper Day in support of Save the Children, an organization that supports children around the world affected by dire circumstances and helps to build them a better future. £127 in total was raised and will go directly to supporting the charity.
Managing Director, Ray Singh, said: “The amount of money raised is a fantastic achievement, and as Christmas is a time of giving, it is especially important that those who can provide support to those who are less fortunate than them. Thank you to everyone who supported the local and national charities and helped in making a difference this year.”
Russell Finex would also like to thank those who gifted prizes this year, and to people who donated to the charities. The company looks forward to 2020 and for further opportunities to fundraise.
