Over £750 raised for red nose day
Every year, Russell Finex employees get involved in various activities to raise money for red nose day, and this year was no disappointment, with the team raising over £750. Comic Relief is a charity based within the UK with a mission to support those faced with poverty, violence, and discrimination. This year’s televised appeal was held on March 18th and saw a massive £42 million being raised which will go towards changing the lives of millions of people across the UK and around the world.
Starting the fundraising off, the team got competitive in a bowling event going head to head with each other to determine the best Russell players. Crowned the champions of their team, Harry Lee, Edward Hoare and Santokh Singh achieved some impressive scores. This was a great social event for the team with the company paying for the event themselves and all donations going straight to the charity.
On Red Nose Day itself, employees at our headquarters in Feltham wore their best red outfits to commemorate the day. There were some great red outfits worn by the team as well as some very generous donations.
We would like to thank all the staff at Russell Finex who took part in the events and donated to the cause. Over the past two years Comic Relief has helped over 11.7 million people globally and the money raised within the group, will go to make a positive change in people's lives.
