Students given a factory tour and presentations by our team in Feltham
As part of a career development scheme, Russell Finex hosted year 12 engineering students from Isleworth & Syon School at our headquarters in Feltham. The team showcased the process behind the manufacturing of our machinery as well as the opportunities available for the students in the early stages of their careers.
Starting the day off in the test house, the students got a chance to see our equipment in action with a demonstration of the Russell Compact Sieve® and Vibrasonic® Deblinding System from Sales and Marketing Director, Rob O'Connell. This was also an opportunity to look at our other machines as well as the types of applications we trial in our testing facilities around the world.
A factory tour was then led showcasing the stages of the manufacturing process and the dedication made by our staff to provide a high-quality finished product. From fabrication to polishing, the students got a great insight into each department and the innovative technology installed in our facilities including a 3D Water jet cutter.
Lee Elliston, the group leader said “Our trip to Russell Finex was excellent. There was a great variety of industrial processes observed, both traditional and modern. Lots of the curriculum was covered and enriched by the tour.”
After, the students attended a presentation from our team covering all areas of the business giving them an understanding into the type of career opportunities available at Russell Finex. Lee followed on and said “There were excellent presentations from the staff who gave an insight into not only the world of engineering but business and marketing. There are lots of future opportunities available to our students including apprenticeships and work experience.”
