Celebrating our Sir Mo Farah and Freddie Mercury murals

Sir Mo Farah cuts the ribbon to our new murals

On May 21st, we were proud to welcome special guests to our headquarters in Feltham for the ribbon-cutting ceremony of our two murals celebrating local talent: Sir Mo Farah, the record-breaking long-distance runner and Freddie Mercury, the iconic lead vocalist of Queen.

With Sir Mo Farah’s talent for running discovered at a school just 600 metres away and Freddie Mercury having his childhood home only a mile away from our factory in Feltham, we commissioned two murals by artist Ed Russell to celebrate Feltham’s local talent.

We were honoured to have Sir Mo Farah himself join us for the occasion, alongside special guests Seema Malhotra, MP for Feltham and Heston, representatives from the West London Chamber of Commerce, The Mulberry Centre, local community groups, and  Alan Watkinson, the PE teacher who first recognised Sir Mo’s talent for running.

Our team had a fantastic time meeting our special guests, taking selfies with Sir Mo, and listening to Queen’s greatest hits.  Rob O’Connell, our Managing Director said, “We’re proud to celebrate the accomplishments of local talent. These murals are a lasting tribute, bringing our community together, inspiring future generations through the extraordinary achievements of Sir Mo Farah, and honouring the legacy of the late Freddie Mercury.”

You can find the two murals proudly displayed on the walls of our factory on Mono Lane, next to Feltham Leisure West. Thank you to Ed Russell for creating these incredible murals and to all our special guests, especially Sir Mo Farah who created memories with our team that will be treasured for years to come.
