For the first time ever, Russell Finex, Inc. staff participated in Movember, an event to raise research funds and awareness for men’s health with the help of various facial hair and/or monetary contributions.
Noted as the only global charity devoted solely to raising awareness of men’s health, the Movember Foundation addresses health issues faced by men such as prostate cancer, testicular cancer and mental health. The charity has funded relevant research since 2004 and more than 1,200 men’s health projects world-wide. Russell Finex was proud to contribute its efforts to this endeavor.
There are various ways of participating, and some RFI team members elected to grow facial hair, while others opted to keep clean-shaven for the month and still others decided to walk to raise money per mile and lent on the support of friends and family for contributions to the cause. The team raised $235.00, which was matched by Russell Finex, for a total of $470.00. Thanks to all who helped make this first attempt at Movember a success!
