Russell Finex raises £9,515.60 for cancer support charity
Over the last few months, we have taken part in various fundraisers to raise money for the Mulberry Centre charity. So far this year, a grand total of £9,515.60 has been raised thanks to the efforts of several colleagues taking up challenges and the company matching their fundraising efforts.
The Mulberry Centre is a local charity based on the grounds of West Middlesex Hospital, which aims to deliver information and support to those both directly and indirectly affected by a diagnosis of cancer.
The fundraiser commenced with Colleague Callum Carr, who successfully completed the RideLondon 100 challenge, a 100-mile cycle from Central London to Essex and back. A total of £1,302 was raised from the feat after company match funding.
Additionally, a Platinum Jubilee celebration was held on-site, where the company donated £2,100 to The Mulberry Centre, with a further £188.60 raised from various funfair games. This event also saw the introduction of our new 21 Challenge for the summer, asking colleagues to take on a task they would particularly find difficult to raise more money for the charity.
The colleagues who stepped up to the challenge were: Ray Singh, Badrun Ahmed, Zaheer Abbas, Melissa Gilbert and Richard Kay. With all of them taking different challenges, they managed to raise £5,885, a momentous contribution to the fundraiser.

Despite a successful few months of fundraising, our year of partnership with the Mulberry Centre is not over yet and further fundraising activity will take place in the near future. Until then, we would like to thank everyone who has participated in the fundraisers so far and look forward to hosting more in the near future.
