Russell Finex raises money through a variety of fundraising efforts for UK and international charities
Celebrating the end of 2020, staff at Russell Finex came together to raise money for UK and international charities including Cancer Research and Save the Children.
Cancer Researchis a vital charity that funds scientists, doctors and nurses to help beat cancer sooner. The charity also helps to develop policies that inform Government decisions related to cancer and research. Save the Children is an organization that supports children around the world affected by dire circumstances and helps to build them a better future.
On the 11th of December, staff participated in the annual Christmas Jumper Day in support of Save the Children, with an array of festive knitwear worn by staff in the office and working from home. A total of £60 was raised from this jumper fundraising initiative and will go directly to supporting the charity.
Our other festive fundraising effort, Russell Finex’s raffle, looked a little different this year due to the pandemic. The highlight of the festive calendar held via Microsoft Teams, and as no donations could be received all prizes were provided by Russell Finex; ranging from a Nintendo Switch, BBQ Smoker, an Echo show, to and a variety of wine, chocolates, and champagne gifts. In total £1500 was raised from the raffle, with all the proceeds going towards Cancer Research UK.
Managing Director,Ray Singh said: “The amount of money raised is a fantastic achievement, and after what has been an unprecedented and difficult year for many, thank you to everyone who supported the local and national charities and helped in making a difference this year.”
