Staff take part in Kew Richmond Charity 10km River Run in aid of Bliss, Help for Heroes and Cancer Research UK

On Sunday September 3 2017, Russell Finex staff took part in the Kew Richmond Charity 10km River Run. The scenic run along Richmond riverside and around the Old Deer Park raises money for three charities – Bliss, Help for Heroes and Cancer Research UK.

Fourteen members of the Russell Finex team completed the event, raising over £400 in the process through donations from those taking part, as well as Russell Finex colleagues, family and friends. The company – a global leader in sieving and filtration equipment - is committed to supporting the local community through fundraising events and other initiatives, such as the recent Sir Mo Farah mural in Feltham.

Peter Daish, Russell Finex Production Manager, took part in the event and stated, “Events such as this are a fun way of raising money for great causes, as well as challenging ourselves and having fun as a team. Everyone managed to complete the run, and we raised an excellent amount of money for the three charities.”

Bliss is a UK charity working to provide the best possible care and support for all premature and sick babies and their families. Help for Heroes supports service personnel and military veterans with injuries, illnesses and wounds sustained while serving in the forces. Cancer Research UK funds pioneering research to bring forward the day when all cancers are cured.
