Global sieving and filtration specialists launch innovative equipment finder that recommends optimal separation solutions for different applications

Russell Finex, global leader in fine mesh separation technology, has launched a new innovative, interactive application finder for the processing industry that quickly and easily allows users to locate the most appropriate separation solution for their specific application. The Russell Finex Interactive Application Finder guides process manufacturing professionals to the recommended screening and/or filtration solution that matches their process.  Russell Finex has been supplying separation solutions for over 80 years and has the widest range of products on the market. As a result, this easy to use tool helps navigate users to the right product for the right application quickly and easily - try it right now to find the best solution for your process.

The layout of the application finder is clearly defined to help steer users to the most appropriate range of separation solutions. Users are initially presented with a factory divided into three sections: raw material handling, primary and secondary manufacturing processes and end-of-line packaging. Once a section is selected, the software presents various processes and gives specific equipment solutions to prospective buyers.

Russell Finex’s new interactive processing equipment finder is the first in its industry and is aimed at educating manufacturing professionals, providing the best application, and potentially easing the machine selection and buying process.

Raw material handling

The raw materials used in manufacture should be of the highest quality. Whether manufacturing food products, metal components or advanced chemicals or pharmaceutical goods, the final product relies upon the quality and consistency of the raw materials and ingredients used in its manufacture. Quality checking at this stage also protects downstream equipment. A range of check-screening and quality control solutions is available for auditing incoming materials, removing contamination before it can enter your process line.

Primary manufacturing processes

As the raw materials are changed into industrial materials following processes such as spray-drying, mixing and blending, granulation and milling, separation equipment can be applied to various solid and liquid applications. From grading and de-dusting powders and granules to ensuring the quality of materials at this stage, a range of separation equipment can safeguard the quality of materials before entering the secondary manufacturing stage, as well as protecting downstream equipment and processes.

Secondary manufacturing processes

Following processes such as casting, moulding, cooking, conditioning, coating and washing of products, a variety of separation systems can be applied to guarantee product quality before packaging. In addition, separation equipment at this stage can also provide an inline solution to product recovery and effluent treatment.

End-of-line packaging

Contamination at the end of processing lines can be a major concern for manufacturers. From blockages in conveying and filling lines to foreign contamination or inconsistent product quality and sizing, a multitude of issues can threaten the efficiency and quality of product packaging and despatch. Russell Finex sieving and filtration equipment can be applied before packaging and tanker loading processes to guarantee the quality of final powders, solids and liquids, safeguarding the reputation of manufacturers.

“At Russell Finex, we strive to offer the best customer experiences and support. Our new online Interactive Application Finder was formed to help educate our customers and connect Russell Finex equipment with their manufacturing production lines,” states Richard Kay, Business Development Manager.  “Although this tool is specific, it is general enough to apply to all business, no matter what industry you are in,” concludes Kay.
