Russell Finex is shortlisted for three awards at this year’s solids handling and processing industry awards
SHAPA has been the UK's leading specialist association for the solids handling and processing industry since its formation in 1981. Rewarding the achievements of those within the industry, the SHAPA Awards return in April 2016, and Russell Finex is proud to have been shortlisted for three awards.
The association supports and celebrates the growth of its members, through regular meetings, guest speakers, exhibitions and export assistance, as well as the annual awards ceremony. These all offer valuable opportunities for sharing and promoting business ideas and insights, bringing together various industry experts.
Celebrating outstanding achievement and growth within the solids handling and processing industry, the SHAPA Awards are comprised of five different categories. Russell Finex, a global leader in the manufacture of innovative separation equipment, has been shortlisted in three of these categories.
Having won Exporter of the Year at the 2015 awards, Russell Finex are in the running for this award once again. Having enjoyed another strong year of export growth, and strategically capitalizing on developing markets around the world, the company are hoping for further success in this category.
Russell Finex has also been shortlisted for SHAPA Company of the Year. This recognizes another record year of growth, built upon a business strategy that not only delivers success in the short-term, but future-proofs the company. An extensive development programme has led to the optimization of various processes throughout the business, including the implementation of a LEAN manufacturing process, helping to further streamline production. These improvements were reflected in Russell Finex’s inclusion in the Parliamentary Review, as an example of best manufacturing practice.
The final category Russell Finex has been shortlisted in is the Innovation Award, specifically for the introduction of the new Russell Screen Changer™. This device, developed in response to lengthy customer consultation, has been designed to provide a totally safe and quick solution to a common processing issue, of safely and efficiently changing mesh screens. In particular, its new interlocking safety system, using the latest pneumatic technology, is the first of its kind for this application.
The winners of the SHAPA Awards 2016 will be announced at an awards ceremony on Tuesday 12th April at the National Space Centre, Leicester.
