Russell Finex have recently donated £5,000 to enable local youth club St George’s (Hanworth) Youth Club to continue supporting local youth in Feltham, Hounslow. The club provides a range of support and activities for children and young adults in the local community including mentoring, homework support, life skills and qualifications and activity trips away.
Like all organizations, the onset of Coronavirus has had a huge impact on the way the club has been able to operate in their vital work. Despite these difficulties the club has continued to support 230 young people in the local community through their ongoing work with home and remote activities and more recently being able to offer IT lessons through the purchase of 4 new laptops.
However, the financial impact on the club has been severe with fundraising being scaled back due to the Coronavirus restrictions. This has left the club in a precarious state and needing significant income support in order to ensure the vital support they do in the local community continues.
Russell Finex was contacted by Reverend Paul Williamson, Chairman for the club, as the company have supported the youth club over the last decade. Like previous years, Russell Finex was more than willing to support this important community support initiative and agreed to donate £5,000 to support the club’s ongoing work in the community.
Reverend Paul Williamson remarked on the support from Russell Finex “The support Russell Finex have given means a lot to club ensuring our work and care can continue for many disadvantaged young people, many of whom live in difficult circumstances. We are deeply grateful.” and followed with “We probably wouldn’t have survived without Russell Finex.”
