A review of PPMA 2011
On Tuesday 27th September the doors opened to the UK’s leading processing & packaging machinery exhibition, PPMA. Running until Thursday 29th September the 3-day event was attended by a large number of people and for Russell Finex this was no exception. With the number of enquiries received from the show up compared to last year the exhibition was hailed a success.
Located at booth A50 the Russell Finex stand was a must see with a collection of vibratory sieves and in-line filters on display. Visitors to the stand were able to gain a first hand experience of the innovation and quality of Russell Finex machines.
One of the machines on display was a family of Russell Compact Sieves®. These high-capacity check screeners are ideal for sieving powders and liquid slurries, especially where space is restricted. Also on display was a working demonstration of the Self Cleaning Russell Eco Filter®. Suitable for most liquids, the filter is fitted with the unique Spiroklene™ wiper which continuously removes oversize contamination from the filter screen to provide continuous and consistent liquid flow. Four other Russell Finex machines were displayed alongside these machines, these included the Blow Thru Sieve™, the Finex Separator™, the Mini Sifter™ and the Compact 3in1 Sieve™.
Richard Baker, the UK and Ireland Sales Manager for Russell Finex, attended the show and was pleasantly surprised by the turnout. He commented,“With uncertainly still surrounding the world’s economy we attended the show unsure of what to expect. It was evident that the number of people exhibiting at the show was less than in 2010. However, after day one it was clear to see attendance to the exhibition was good and we anticipate some good quality business as a result of the show.”
Drawing upon our 75 years of experience we will work closely with those who visited us at the show in order to provide them with the ideal sieving or filtration solution for their needs. As we reflect back on PPMA 2011 we begin to focus on how we can improve our visitor’s experience at PPMA 2012.
