Global sieving and filtration specialist donates money to school for children requiring specialist education
Tour Den Anker is a project that is supported by GO! BSBO Den Anker in Mechelen, a school for children with specific needs that prevent them from entering mainstream education. The project provides specific guidance for each student at his or her level and pace. In order to be able to offer quality education the school strives to evolve with new teaching methods and innovate where necessary.
However, as the school receives a basic amount per pupil from the government, fewer children are being placed due to operational costs. Therefore the school set up the "Tour den Anker" project to raise funds to provide a better education to those in need.
Tour Den Anker is a major sponsored cycle tour that one of the school’s teachers will complete during the summer of 2018. The tour leads him, during five weeks, over more than 4000km of mountains and valleys throughout the beautiful French landscape. This route is sometimes referred to as the toughest bike ride in the world. The teacher’s team will take care of baggage transport and any other form of support.
Being a company which believes in supporting local organizations Russell Finex is proud to support the school by sponsoring Tour Den Anker with a donation of €1000. Koen De Ridder, General Manager of Russell Finex NV, commented: “We are always looking to help out local organizations and giving back to the community. By donating to this project, we can help children receive the education they deserve.”
