Managing Director visits local cancer support charity
In celebration of its 21st birthday, The Mulberry Centre held an open day event on July 6th at their center located on the grounds of West Middlesex University Hospital in Isleworth. The charity offers free support and information for anyone affected by cancer. Whether you are diagnosed with cancer yourself or are a family member, carer or someone bereaved by cancer.
The open day saw over 50 guests including The Mayor of Richmond and Councilors from the London Boroughs of Richmond Upon Thames and Hounslow. Russell Finex also attended the event including Managing Director Ray Singh. Tours of the facilities were given as well as taster sessions of services such as Reflexology, Aromatherapy, and line drawing classes.
Aileen McLeish, Trustee Chair of The Mulberry Centre said: “We were delighted that so many people joined us to see what we do to support those affected by cancer. It was a wonderful showcase and the ethos and welcome of The Mulberry Centre shone throughout the day. Everyone I spoke to were impressed by what they saw and experienced. We are grateful for all the support we receive locally which enables us to continue the essential work for all who need it.”
As our nominated charity of the year, we have been holding a range of fundraising activities throughout the year to raise awareness and funds for their services. June 1st saw the start of Challenge 21; a summer fundraising event encouraging staff to complete challenges associated with the number 21. So far, we have raised £4,605 with the company match funding every donation.
Managing Director, Ray Singh said: “It was wonderful to visit The Mulberry Centre to celebrate its 21st birthday and see the support and services they offer the local community. The charity has supported over 15,000 people over the years, and we hope Russell Finex’s fundraising activities help see the charity continue its amazing work.”
