Russell Finex leads the way, winning the Manufacturing Matters award
Organized by Make UK, the South Regional Manufacturing Awards were held on November 9th to celebrate the achievements of manufacturing companies across the South.
With manufacturers often known for their negative impact on economic, environmental, and social factors, Russell Finex is proud to be the winner of the Manufacturing Matters award. This award recognizes a company that demonstrates exceptional adaptability and resilience to impact its business and improve lives and society.
The Make UK award judges said “Russell Finex is a fantastic showcase of focusing on staff, the local community, customers, and doing the right things for the planet. This combination of product and engagement clearly shows how manufacturing can have such a positive impact on people's lives.”
As well as carefully designing separation equipment to enable our customers to meet their sustainable goals, we too make an effort to reduce our environmental impact. 80% of our energy is produced by solar panels, we offer in-house testing to avoid unnecessary carbon emissions and use energy-efficient transportation to name a few.
In total, Russell Finex has donated over £109,000 to charities since 2014. From Comic Relief or Children in Need, to local youth clubs and food banks, efforts like these continue at the forefront of our activities.
When asked about the achievement, Managing Director Ray Singh said: “Winning the Manufacturing Matters award is a fantastic achievement and highlights the importance of investing time and money into environmental and social factors whilst implementing automation of our manufacturing processes. This year, we are proud of our collaboration with local charity, The Mulberry Centre where we’ve raised over £10,000 through sponsored challenges, team events and company match funding. Thank you to all Russell Finex employees for their continued hard work and generosity that allow us to make a difference.”
Congratulations to all winners at the South Regional Dinner. Russell Finex will now move on to the National Finals, with winners announced on January 26th.
