Russell Finex Finalists in HSBC Competition
Russell Finex reaches regional finals of prestigious HSBC Global Connections competition
First launched in 2012, the HSBC Global Connections competition is an initiative aimed at supporting innovative mid sized businesses to promote and advance their overseas growth. From an initial 6,000 businesses across five regions of the UK, six businesses from each region were selected to share their ideas with two businesses from each region entering the national finals to be eligible for up to £6 million of lending each, plus rewards of up to £120,000.
Out of 600 entrants from the London Region, Russell Finex were selected as one of the regional finalists being recognized as an innovative manufacturer of bespoke vibratory sieves and self-cleaning filters for the processing industry with a strong plan for further growth into overseas economies. On Thursday 18th April 2013 the six chosen companies from the London region gathered in Canary Wharf, to present their future growth plans to a group of HSBC business experts for a chance to progress into the finals of the HSBC Global Connections competition. Regional finalists were also invited to take part in International Exchanges across the world, where companies networked, listened and gained insights from business heads and entrepreneurs from some of the leading companies across the world. Although Russell Finex was not chosen as a finalist the experience demonstrated just how far we have come as a company. The export markets are still in the early stages of development and there is huge potential for expansion abroad.
